yeah dollar bob is lame. i must of relied to the wrong comment. your my comic book brother from another mother. no problem friend. sorry if i affended you.

Dollar Bob called you a chump, not me. Just a clarification. I never insulted you.
Anyway, I don’t think he wants Steve Rogers dead. I think he wants his body, something the Red Skull doesn’t have right now.
Just a thought.

Boys, boys. Settle down. Let’s settle this in a no holds barred cage match, like adults.

okay so why would he want him back to life? he wants steve rogers dead man. thats my whole point. & if you don’t care then cool. but don’t call me chump cause thats being a punk. & i like you to fly to cali & say that to my face sir.

i follow what happens but let chumps like you waste your money…

I don’t care too much if Steve Rogers does come back, because if you remember, The Red Skull did buy some kind of Time Machine from Dr. Doom. It didn’t come out of nowhere.
I agree that Marvel has pretty much reversed everything from Civil War. Thats just the way Superhero comics work now adays. Its disappointing, but true.

me to man. it’s just if you really think about it. whats the point of cival war. i like steve rogers but dam marvel has undone almost everything from that story arc. with cap and spiderman revealing his idenity. you gotta ask yourself? what’s the point? Marvel got your money & my money. it’s just all too funny.

I personally love Bucky as Cap, and don’t like Steve Rogers too much. I’ll still buy Cap though. I trust in Bru.

I love Gene Colan, but I didn’t really like either version. It wasn’t the same without Gene Colans fantastic sense of shadow with the inks.

Cap 601 was a good filler. I’m not excited about Steve Rogers coming back. Red Skull shot him with a gun to .. to, what? Keep him alive. ha ha. Red Skull wants Steve Rogers dead if you ask me. Dead Pool has been a remarkable surprising great title. i don’t think anyone has suspected it to be. Matt Fraction taking over the Dark Avengers title for a few issues is interesting.

If Beast gets transformed to his human form….fine. I hope he doesn’t stay that way, but I would kinda rather see him human than go back to that secondary mutation cat face bullshit. Maybe if he reverts to beast form later he will be back to the old school beast I remember.

I actually like Deadpool. But I completely agree that original Deadpool was just… pure win & awesomeness.
Marvel needed another wacky, zany, over the top fourth-wall-breaking character… and instead of bringing back Howard the Duck (and I don’t mean that chicken looking thing that came out two years ago), they decided to reinvent a character with that style. Sadly it had to be Deadpool.
Deadpool vs. Howard the Duck, I says… who’s with me???

I think turning Beast back into his human form is actually a follow up on Astonishing X-Men. There, Beast was struggling with the choice of being human again. It was alluded that he did want to be human again.
This will add another layer to the character. Now that he has what he potentially wished for, is it what he genuinely wanted especially since it was forced upon him? Or did he merely want the freedom to choose?

I completely agree with you. I think Marvel’s really taken DP in the wrong direction. As you said, I liked DP back when he was crazy but he was still professional, now they just made him fucking ADHD crazy (and not in a good way).

Man, The Sentry is one hot sexy chick.
The changes to Beast/McCoy, I’m sure won’t be permanent, but they definitely create an emotional story for an individual who has succeeded despite his physique. It’s the equivalent of a normie going through some devastating disease like cancer.
And, yes, Utopia is too much. We have another crossover. Oh, yay.
February 8th, 2012 at 10:15 pm
I’m liking the Utopia crossover but i agree with you guys about Beast. I’m sure he’ll be human and back to beast by the end of the series….hopefully.

Dan Way cant write Deadpool. Joe Kelly and Fabian Nicieza write Deadpool as Crazy Dan Way Invented Pool-o-Vision so it could just be drawn by the artist. JK & FN write ‘Pool to show that inside his deranged mind there is a normal guy Dan Way gave him another voice in his head to save him the bother of conveying it through character developement. JK & FN wrote witty fast dialogue Dan Way wries him as a stupid. I for one cant wait for Spidey #611 I just hope it brings JK back to a Deadpool title.

Bullseyes and Deadpool could be a nice long running feud.

Great show guys.
I liked your thoughts this episode Pete,(you were good too Alex!). Just thought I’d mention it because sometimes you get some flak for your reviews and I thought these were an example of your good ones.

I personally loved that “Fraiser” played Hank “the beast” McCoy. That’s what I think about that. Fraction is doing some pretty fine work.
Black and white captain America eh? I don’t know…sounds cool.
Oh and deadpool series has been, as alex says, Laugh out loud funny!
Maybe we should see a Justin only, DC and Indy comics review day? Maybe? OR more Indy comics please! SEGMENTS!! Ha

Holy Crap! Me too. Hated, hated, hated it. It’s about freakin’ time they brought the classic look back.

Great show. Now I am a little upset that I got the color version of Cap #601. Deadpool is awesome and the last arc with Bullseye was just outstanding and hilarious.
I think Fraction is doing a good job with Utopia and he seems to have each character’s voice down and I love the way he writes the dark avengers. Beast is just so cool and definately my favorite X-Man. It will be sad to see him go back to being human but I am still interested to see where this story goes.
